The District wins 'Best in Publishing'

Creative agency The District earns an international award for its work on a Norwich University of the Arts project.

Creative work by The District will be highlighted at an international festival in Cannes this Summer after the agency won 'Best in Publishing' at the Creativepool 2016 Annual and Awards.

The agency’s work on the undergraduate prospectus for Norwich University of the Arts was selected for the accolade by the Creativepool judges, including Peace for Paris illustrator Jean Jullien and Tom Seymour of Google Creative Lab, alongside work by international agencies from London, Amsterdam and New York. The winning projects are profiled in the Creativepool Annual which will be read by delegates from around the world at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (18–25 June).

Matt Bagnall, Creative Partner at The District (pictured), said: “Our work on previous editions of the NUA prospectus earned us the freedom to push further in delivering a bold and confident book that has been distributed to schools and colleges and at national and international recruitment fairs. The project has achieved real impact, contributing to a 7% growth in applications to NUA over the previous year.”

Creativepool added: “Proving that undergrad publications can look slick and editorial, The District have rewritten the rulebook with the Norwich University of the Arts publication. From quality paper stocks to glossy photographs, this is a high-end and highly visual piece of work. It still retains the heart and soul of the university too, with personal content and pictures of the campus. Post prospectus, NUA reported 7% growth in applications over the previous year.”

About The District

The District is a creative agency founded in 2004 by two people who wanted to do things differenter. It is always very difficult to categorise what we do due to the breadth of our work, but broadly it covers brand, digital, print & film. Over the past 12 years the agency has helped clients sell energy drinks, got bums on seats and people through doors. We’ve put a Science Centre without a home on the map, brought bricks and mortar to life and changed the face of the high street through art.
