This was followed by a guided tour of the operations site, where they learned how printers are made, before moving into the customer experience room to see printers in action and even having their own names printed onto pens. The morning also included a tour of the warehouse to understand how the dispatch site functions, along with an interactive session on building a strong CV to support future career development.
Throughout the session, the students had the opportunity to meet and engage with Carl Haycock, members of the HR, manufacturing and dispatch teams as well as graduate engineers, gaining valuable exposure to both the technical and professional aspects of the manufacturing industry.
Carl Haycock said: “Domino was once again pleased to support National Manufacturing Day and to open our doors to local students. This initiative developed by Make UK is a great opportunity for employers to raise awareness of manufacturing and the rewarding careers available for the next generation.”
