Double promotion at Penningtons Manches Cooper

The Cambridge office of top 50 law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper has made two promotions within its Real Estate team.

Giorgia Clements has been promoted from Associate to Senior Associate.  As well as continuing to carry out a large amount of fee earning work, Giorgia has taken on a more formal supervisory role, helping to keep work cost-effective by supervising more junior members of the team. She has been with the firm since September 2018 and has a first class degree in Law from King’s College Cambridge and obtained a distinction on her Legal Practice Course at Kaplan. She began her career at a leading London law firm before moving to Cambridge on qualifying.

Becky Lund has been promoted from Paralegal to Senior Paralegal in recognition of her taking on greater responsibilities over the past year, during which time she passed her final CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) exams. Becky completed her undergraduate Law degree at Nottingham Trent University, including completing a ‘year in professional practice’ in Taylor Wimpey’s in house legal department. She joined Penningtons in July 2017 and is working towards becoming a qualified lawyer by this time next year.

Commenting on the promotions, Real Estate Partner Sarah Coates said: “These are highly deserved promotions, with both Giorgia and Becky working extremely hard to earn these new positions by taking on additional responsibilities, increasing their knowledge so they to be able to offer the best advice to our real estate clients and becoming invaluable members of the team.”
