The award was given for his pioneering oral-delivery Lysosome technology at the conference which was held in Malta last week, (June 25th - 26th 2015).
Dr Petyaev, the inventor of the technology, commented: "I was surprised and delighted that world leaders in hepatology recognised the quality of this development and the potential value of our innovation."
Malta Liver Conference 2015 provided a unique opportunity for interactions between industry and liver disease experts.
Seeking to help identify unmet needs in hepatology, the two dayconference looked towards the future to determine how to address the long-term challenges that hepatologists are likely to face in the coming years.
