Commenting, David Toulson Burke, of The House Collection said: “All ladies are invited to attend in their wedding outfits whether they were the bride, a bridesmaid, hen, mother-of-the bride, mother-of-the-groom or a guest. With the chance to enjoy a superb meal with live entertainment in a sumptuous setting while raising funds for a fantastic cause, it’s a girls' night out not to be missed.”
The House Collection, the luxury boutique hotel group behind Paddocks House and its sister hotel Poets House, Ely, is hosting the event in aid of the Pink Rose Appeal (also known as the Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital) to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment in Cambridge.
Many brides celebrated their wedding at the hotel which, under its previous guise as Swynford Paddocks, was one of region’s favourite wedding venues. For its re-opening in December 2013, under new ownership, the venue had undergone a dramatic transformation and complete refurbishment, with a strong emphasis on contemporary design and a stunning new conservatory that opens onto beautiful Venetian gardens.
On arrival guests can enjoy a glass of pink champagne, followed by a three-course dinner with live entertainment and dancing. To mark the occasion, a unique Pink Strawberry Cheesecake Cocktail, concocted especially for the evening will be on sale with profits going to the Pink Rose Appeal. There will also be a raffle to raise funds for the Appeal and the prizes will include an overnight stay for two at Paddocks House, a dinner for two, afternoon tea for four and designer jewellery.
Paddocks House, formerly Swynford Paddocks, is a majestic 18th century country house set in five acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds between Newmarket and Cambridge. Once the home of Lord Byron’s sister, it has been extensively refurbished to create 15 spacious bedrooms, a 46-cover restaurant, large conservatory and variety of private dining rooms.
Tickets are £60 per head, and will include Pink Champagne on arrival, Candyfloss canapés (pink of course), a three course dinner and half a bottle of wine per person. For more information or to book please call 01223 653111 or email [email protected].
Overnight accommodation will also be available at £179 per room for bed and breakfast. For those not staying carriages should be arranged for 12 midnight.
