easyJet launches a new summer 2015 service from Stansted to Monastir, Tunisia

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today announced it will add a new country to its network with a new route to Monastir in Tunisia. easyJet now has 26 destinations on sale from Stansted and carried over 2.7 million passengers on easyJet flights from the airport last year.

easyJet is expected to fly 26,000 passengers between the destinations annually, operating twice a week throughout next summer. The new route is on sale today at easyjet.com with the first flights starting on 2nd June 2015. The country of choice for George Lucas’ Star Wars offers a cultural mix of medinas and minarets with a coastline dominated by sandy beaches, the perfect combination for a summer holiday destination.

Neil Slaven, Commercial Manager at easyJet, said:  “We’re pleased to be continuing to deliver an comprehensive network of destinations with the launch of Monastir, in Tunisia, easyJet’s 33rd country in its network. It’s great that we are able to add another further afield sun destination joining destinations already offered like Sharm el Sheik and Morocco.
