Electronics enclosure experts to exhibit at Cambridge technology conference

Cove Industries will be exhibiting at the UK Device Developers' Conference.

Electronics Box Build and Enclosure Company Cove Industries has announced that it will be exhibiting at this year's UK Device Developers' Conference, an event for engineers and scientists working in the development of intelligent systems and devices.

Cove Industries designs and manufactures enclosures for electronic and electrical systems and is a leader in the sub contract sheet metal work industry, specialising in the supply of products to the Aerospace, Military, Automotive and Commercial sectors, from prototype to full production batches.

The Device Developers’ Conference is a one-day event for engineers, computer scientists and technical managers working in the development of intelligent systems and devices.  The Conference will take place in Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester and Scotland, on May 20th and 22nd, June 3rd and 5th respectively.

"We are very pleased to be supporting this event again this year," said Miles Adams, Operations Manager. "The Conference is an ideal forum for us. It's a chance to meet with development engineers to explain the technology and services that Cove Industries offer. As much as the event is mainly about electronics and software, the fact is, every system or device requires an enclosure for protection, transportation and handling. This aspect of product development is very much our expertise."

Cove Industries has been established as a high quality sheet metal fabricator for many years and with the incorporation of an in house Paint Shop and Electronics Division this has meant that it can now offer a turnkey Box Build service.  This is in addition to manufacturing EMC chasses, panels, consoles, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses and specialist Test Equipment, all from their site in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The Device Developers' Conference explores the new technologies and tools that are used in the development of embedded systems and electronics. The aim of the event is to provide a productive forum whereby engineers can meet key industry experts from design tool and hardware vendors, as well as undertaking half-day workshops and presentations that offer new skills and knowledge.

“We are very pleased to have the expertise of Cove Industries available to the Conference,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “ Enclosures are critical for a successful design, whether in terms of functionality or even in terms of external aesthetics. “

Cove Industries also offer the facility to support development engineers with the production of bespoke test boxes either from a sketched requirement or reverse engineering existing units.

The 2014 conference is sponsored by German debug tool company Lauterbach, UK based embedded systems training experts Feabhas, and Italian embedded computer manufacturer Eurotech. Exhibiting companies and presenters will include Wind River, QNX, JTAG Technologies, LDRA and Phaedrus Systems.

The 2014 event will include both a software stream of presentations, and a hardware stream of presentations. Some key topics for this year’s event include Android development, Device to Cloud technology, Open Source Software for Critical Systems and GUI/HMI development."

Attendance at the Device Developers' Conference, including the series of 40-minute technical presentations, is free to engineers and project managers working in the technology sector. The half-day workshops are subject to a small charge.
