Technology company EDR Technology has been shortlisted in both the Green/Technology Category and the Investing in West Suffolk Category, while KluraLabs is a finalist in the Manufacturing & Innovation Category. EDR Technology and fellow EpiCentre business SKC Games have also both been shortlisted for the Investing in West Suffolk Category.

The multiple nominations are a reflection of the innovation, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit of the businesses based at The EpiCentre, which provides a flexible environment specifically designed to help growing companies thrive.

Centre Manager Helen Earl said: “We are incredibly proud that a number of companies based here at The EpiCentre have been shortlisted for this year’s Business Awards. It is thoroughly deserved recognition for the hard work, innovation and commitment demonstrated by these businesses, and we wish them all the very best of luck on the night.”

Gary Jennings, The EpiCentre Innovation Director: “Supporting young and growing entrepreneurial businesses is at the heart of what we do at The EpiCentre. Our aim is to give companies the environment, facilities and support they need to develop and grow, without the pressures and constraints that can come with a conventional commercial lease. Flexibility is very much the name of the game, allowing businesses to focus on what really matters – building their companies and turning their ambitions into reality.”

This is the second year in a row that companies based at The EpiCentre have picked up honours at the awards. Last year, Aceso Biosciences/Essentia BioSciences business, won the West Suffolk Award for Innovation, while SKC Studios – now operating under the 1956 Individuals brand – was Highly Commended in the same category.

The EpiCentre is home to a diverse community of innovative and ambitious businesses, creating an environment where companies can benefit from flexible laboratory and office workspace, professional facilities and a supportive business community as they develop.

The West Suffolk Business Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of businesses across the county, highlighting the contribution they make to the local economy and wider community.
