Event focuses on 'Journalism in the digital age'

The next event in the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)/ Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) Marketing club series sees Mike Scialom reveal his insights into the digital world of press and PR.

On Monday 18 November 2019, Mike will be talking about journalism in the digital age, and how the Internet has changed the way news is broadcast and consumed. This is a topic on which he is well qualified to speak. His book, 'Press-Ganged: Journalism's shaky Start to the Digital Age', is now available on Amazon.

As a bonus, he will be sharing some inside knowledge, as he considers what journalists are looking for when reading a press release.

Mike is a well-known figure in the East of England media community, and has bags of experience as a journalist, editor and writer on business topics. Mike, who was motoring editor at the Cambridge Evening News for many years, is currently business correspondent at the Cambridge Independent. He also runs Cambridge Open Media, with projects including PaperClick, a last-moment payment model for journalistic content online.

Registration and networking from 17:30; the event starts at 18:00 and finishes at 20:30.
