Event highlights major funding opportunities

Small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the East of England are invited to attend the annual Low Carbon KEEP Accessing Funding event in Cambridge on Wednesday, November 6.

The free event, which will be held between 10am and 4pm at the Trinity Centre at Cambridge Science Park, will feature a series of talks by various government and non-government funding providers, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP), and companies who have successfully accessed and used various types of funding.

The speakers include Grants4Growth Programme Manager Simon Best, Low Carbon Innovation Fund Portfolio Manager James Griffiths, and Greater Cambridge and Greater Peterborough LEP Programme Manager Michael Barnes, who will each highlight the various funding opportunities and support their programmes are able to provide.

Attendees will have the chance to explore the financial and business aspects of various streams of funding and listen to real-life examples of how companies have used funding to increase profits, develop new products and improve competitiveness.  The presentations will be followed by lunch, networking and the opportunity for in-depth discussions about individual projects.

The event is organised by the Low Carbon KEEP programme based at Anglia Ruskin.  Backed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Low Carbon KEEP programme has £3.2 million to invest to help SMEs reduce energy consumption, develop new products and increase profitability.

Attendance at the Accessing Funding event is free but booking is required.  For more information about the event or the Low Carbon KEEP programme, please contact Carole Randall at carole.randall@anglia.ac.uk or 0845 196 4310.
