Event professionals connect, learn and innovate at clic+

The clic+ conference welcomed event professionals to Robinson College on Friday for a day of interactive learning, which marked the last clic+ event of the year.

The day was defined by panel discussions, breakout sessions and tech tutorials, which offered delegates an immersive educational experience providing thought-leadership on topics close to the industry’s heart. Jonathan Bradshaw, CEO of Meetology, took the audience on a journey exploring the fascinating psychology that empowers exceptional people skills. Delegates applied the skills learnt through practical activities, focusing on building rapport with their partner.

With the tone of the day set, David Preston and Richard John from Realise, the UK’s first dedicated events training agency, took to the stage to facilitate the conference, leading a debate between our panel of experts on the value of face to face events as a marketing tool. The conference also highlighted the importance of millennials in the events industry by introducing four event apprentices, who discussed the role that face to face events play in this heavily digital world.

Rose McDonald, head of sales at Robinson College, said: “We are proud of the value the clic+ conference has brought to event professionals, by delivering networking and learning opportunities in an inclusive environment. We are focused on building on the success of the 2016/17 events to bring a fresh programme to Cambridge in the New Year.”

The conference was supported by a collaboration of partners, including Outspoken Cycles, Blendology, Absolute AV, Realise, ABPCO, Airport Lynx, Live the City, Meet Cambridge, Virtual Reality Experiences and Glisser. The event raised funds for the clic+ nominated charity, Blue Smile, totalling an impressive £1,000.
