Executive pay arrangements still leave plenty of room for improvement

Last week executive pay think tank the High Pay Centre hosted an event in which the views of a diverse range of speakers were presented to an audience of London University business students. In a new blog, remuneration expert Andrew Menhennet reflects on the key themes to emerge from this debate, and asks what next for executive pay.

The High Pay Centre’s latest event brought together speakers from all sides of the executive pay debate: the TUC, the Institute of Directors, remuneration consultants and a shareholder governance expert. The audience was made up mainly of students from business and HR programmes at London University. Inevitably each speaker had a different perspective on the topic, but despite this some  key themes emerged from the debate.

In his new blog, pay expert Andrew Menhennet summarises these themes, and looks at what is likely to happen next in the world of executive pay..
