She said: “I’m delighted to have joined EY in Cambridge at a time when the business is focused on building and expanding its Indirect Tax team and supporting clients across the East of England. I was attracted to EY and the Cambridge office as it plays a key part in the local community and has ambitious plans to increase its market share in the middle market, of which the region has a plenty of growing businesses and inspirational entrepreneurs. I’m really looking forward to exploring new opportunities with the team and expanding our presence in the region.”

Stuart Wilkinson, Office Managing Partner at EY in Cambridge added: “I’m really pleased to welcome Carolyn to the team, to lead growth within Indirect Tax across the East of England. Her expertise and experience will support our plans to explore new opportunities and offer an even more exceptional service to our existing clients.

“Carolyn’s appointment comes at a time of expansion for the EY in the region, having announced the appointment of Adrian Bennett, to lead business development in the middle market in the summer. We’ve also just announced the recruitment of 21 new graduates and business apprentices to the team, who started in September and were pleased to support a further 12 ‘virtual’ Summer Intern Placement positions, despite our offices being closed.”

During lockdown she completed her first COVID-19 sprint triathlon and hopes to compete in more events in the future.
