Speaking about their decision, the Card and Payments Awards Judging Panel commented, "While other companies provide machine learning and AI tools, Featurespace remains ahead of them all and Martina is the major influence behind this success. She has done a huge amount of work to drive adoption within the payments industry in the UK. I have no doubt that the whole payments community is behind this acknowledgement of her achievements."

Under her leadership the company has gone from strength to strength, last year picking up a Queen's Award for Enterprise Innovation, as well as a number of industry awards for fraud and risk protection. In January, Featurespace closed a £25million funding round led by MissionOG and Insight Venture Partners.
The ARIC Fraud Hub now protects more than 500 million consumers around the world, detecting anomalous behavior to indicate fraudulent activity in real-time. Customers in the card and payments space include TSYS, Worldpay, Contis, Clearbank, Danske Bank, MIT and GoHenry.
