The updated deadline for entry to this year's Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards is midnight this Friday (August 14).

Editor Paul Brackley said: “Don’t miss your chance to enter these awards, which are a showcase of the rich array of talent in this region. There are categories for individuals - Researcher of the Year and CEO of the Year - as well as companies, and a special Covid-19 Response Award this year, for organisations that have played an important role in responding to the pandemic."

Entry is free and simple. Visit the Cambridge Independent website and fill in the form.

There, you can also find out more about sponsors, find category descriptions and read about last year’s winners, and watch a video.

Once again, the awards have a very impressive list of sponsors.

Data centre specialist Kao Data recently joined as sponsor of the Start-up of the Year category, while Cambridge-based financial planning and investment firm Tilney has joined as sponsor of CEO of the Year.

Entries will be judged by an expert panel from a range of sectors in September.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 4.

The rules

You can enter more than one category and you can complete the form more than once if you wish to submit different descriptions for different categories. Entrants must have a base within the Cambridge Independent circulation area. For any queries, please email the editor – paul.brackley@iliffemedia.co.uk.
