Find out how to achieve outstanding publicity for your company

Creating powerful content will be the focus of next month’s Two Counties Business Exhibition at Newmarket Racecourse, with informative seminars from Google Digital Garage and Spirus Marketing.

Marketing your products and services is a valuable part of any business but is often a struggle to implement effectively. In this seminar from Spirus Marketing, Alex Spencer will guide you through essential steps to create PR stories that journalists will love.

Alex Spencer, PR and Content Consultant at Spirus Marketing, commented: “If you are asked to get your business in the media or write a press release to publicise a new product, it can be hard to know where to start. You may want to announce a new product or service, but often that alone is not interesting enough to get media coverage.

“I want to help marketing managers and business owners to get better publicity by finding the most newsworthy stories about their companies. There are some simple rules to follow that will make your piece stand out – by the end of the session you will know what a journalist wants from a story too.”

Google Digital Garage will present two seminars to learn about the importance of digital marketing for businesses and how to harness the power of social media for business to reach new audiences and turn them into valuable customers.

Organiser Jenni Misseldine, Events & Training Co-ordinator at Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with The Digital Garage from Google - a digital skills training platform to assist you in growing your business, career and confidence. A Google digital expert will teach you what is needed to gain a competitive advantage in the ever changing digital landscape in two of our seminars taking place on the day.

"iMET will present our final seminar designed to help businesses develop skills for the future. There will also be ample networking opportunities during the day with a free speed networking session to facilitate connections between some of the over 300 visitors expected to attend."

Jointly organised by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, Cambridge Independent, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and West Suffolk Councils, the event is free to attend and takes place within the Millennium Grandstand at Newmarket Racecourse on Wednesday 14 March from 10.30am-3.30pm.

Limited exhibition stands are still available for the event with three metre stands already sold out. Stand prices start at £100.00 (plus VAT) for Chamber members. Free places at speed networking and seminars can be pre-registered at http://bit.ly/2Counties2018
