Getting the best drone shots - Cambridge TV School shows you how

If you've got a drone, learn how to get the best shots from it through this one-day masterclass, out on location with Cambridge TV School.

What makes good looking drone footage? What techniques are useful to create shots with the biggest impact? Join Cambridge TV School's one-day practical masterclass and take your drone filming to the next level.

And to whet your appetite, here's a video the team made earlier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-XZ1qqB78k

The course will cover good examples and you will bring your own drone with you and fly it in an outdoor location near Cambridge, putting into practice what you've learned about capturing great shots.

This opportunity will suit experienced drone pilots - both hobbyists and commercial - who are interested in bringing home good footage and exploring new techniques for making video content.

The course will cover:

• 4K: Using the extra resolution for reframing in post
• Telling the story: how and when to use a drone shot
• Getting the most from Intelligent Flight Modes
• Aerial cinematography techniques
• Framing and composition
• Timing your shoot – impact of natural light and time of day on your shots
• Post Production for drone shots
• Permissions
• Airmanship - Get the flying sorted first - then the camera
• Segregating camera operator and drone pilot roles
• Drone simulators
• Tips and tricks that will help you get good shots

Unfortunately the School can't teach you to fly a drone because of CAA regulations. It is not necessary to hold a PfCO unless you are flying for commercial purposes.

This one day course costs £250. To book email bob@cambridge-tv.co.uk or see the link below.
