Green fingered Stansted Airport staff volunteer for Give and Gain day

Green fingered Stansted Airport staff were out in the local community on Friday (May 15) revamping a school garden as part of a national volunteering day.

The team of budding gardeners got their hands dirty weeding and planting a new flowerbed at Stansted Mountfitchet’s Forest Hall School for Business in the Community’s Give & Gain Day.

The annual event celebrates the power and potential of employee volunteering and sees thousands of people across the globe spend a working day volunteering for good causes in their local community.

Gareth David, Business Manager at Forest Hall School, said:

“The team from Stansted worked very hard and deserve some serious credit for all they did. They really transformed the site and both the Head-teacher and I are very grateful for their efforts.”

Marcella M’Rabety, Stansted Airport’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, said:

“By taking part in Business in the Community’s Give & Gain Day we are not only championing the talent and skill of our employees but also helping our local schools.  We are proud of our education and employment programmes and are keen to work closely with our local communities to ensure they share the benefits of our success.”
