It is an honour to support such an established Cambridge’s tradition; ‘Town Bumps’ has taken place annually for almost 150 years along the River Cam.

Greenwoods is committed to supporting initiatives within the communities it operates.  ‘Town Bumps’ encapsulates many aspects of the Greenwoods approach including dedication and team work to ensure a great result is achieved.

Greenwoods’ Managing Director, Robert Dillarstone said, “We are proud to support this established Cambridge tradition.  As Greenwoods’ reputation in the Cambridge marketplace continues to grow it’s great to be part of ‘Town Bump’ and to support this famous local rowing challenge.”

‘The Bumps’ is a unique event in the rowing world, with no other race quite like it.  Before the start of each race, boats are spread along the river with a length and a half of clear water in between.  The object of the race is to catch and bump the crew in front without the boat behind catching and ‘bumping’ you!  It’s the only way to race on the narrow and winding River Cam.

This year the Town Bumps take place between 18 and 21 July 2017.

The CRA and Greenwoods look forward to seeing you there!
