Now, with Facebook lead ads, users can fill out forms on their mobile devices without being directed to an external site, and without having to manually input their information. Facebook populates the forms with the users existing information, and advertisers can request further information by personalising questions to obtain relevant data.

This new ad unit provides a responsive, instinctive way for users to input information, enabling businesses to gain the data they need.

Facebook also recently announced its CRM integration capabilities with its current partners, which include Salesforce, with more to follow shortly. This will enable businesses to collect lead information in real-time, allowing them to respond to users almost immediately.

Lead ads are currently only available for mobile devices, but Facebook will shortly be enabling video and carousel Lead Ads for desktop users, so businesses can target users on any device.
