Health Enterprise East expands consulting services for healthcare innovators

Health Enterprise East (HEE) is pleased to announce the expansion of its best-in-class medtech consulting services: MedTech CONSULTING.

I am excited by the expansion of our MedTech CONSULTING services, which enables us to provide innovators – from individuals and start-ups to multinationals – with the advice they need to successfully develop and market ground-breaking new medtech products and devices.

MedTech CONSULTING provides healthcare innovators and product developers with practical, insightful advice about the market relevant to their innovation and the steps needed to bring their ideas for medical technology products to life. MedTech CONSULTING uses tested tools and pragmatic methodologies to produce the best insights and advice for medtech companies to be commercially successful.

MedTech CONSULTING brings together HEE’s deep experience of the NHS and other healthcare markets and understanding of what it takes to make a successful medtech product in one dedicated suite of consulting services that offer innovators a targeted approach to refining their business strategy, understanding the scale and characteristics of their innovation’s market, what procurement mechanisms are involved, the cost and how to manage their intellectual property (IP).

MedTech CONSULTING focuses on the following areas:

  • Markets: taking a methodical approach to market access and business strategy
  • Insights: providing clinical pathway, procurement and reimbursement insights
  • Economics: understanding commercial value, economic impact and pricing
  • Connect: enabling businesses to benefit from HEE’s broad range of clinical and technical experts
  • IP: understanding intellectual property and due diligence for investment and growth

MedTech CONSULTING benefits from HEE’s unique connection to the NHS through its member trusts and partnerships with world-leading teaching and research centres. As part of an increased focus on health economics, HEE has partnered with University of East Anglia, appointing senior health economist Bekah Fong in collaboration with Professor Richard Fordham’s respected Health Economics Group at the university. HEE have also hired analyst Suzan Ziobro (formerly at GSK and a mentor at The Entrepreneurship Centre, Cambridge Judge Business School) to expand the MedTech CONSULTING team.

Bekah said: “I'm looking forward to working with HEE’s highly knowledgeable team with a wealth of experience in medical technology both in the UK and globally. Understanding the potential financial impact and return on investment of new medtech products is imperative to their success. I am pleased to be able to support promising innovators with bringing their pioneering innovations to the market.”
