First time buyers and existing homeowners keen to move up the ladder within Cambridge’s buzzing property market will be able to find out more about the different schemes available to them and discover suitable developments within their price range. Independent Financial Advisers and solicitors will also be on hand to offer free and impartial advice.

Help to Buy is a Government equity loan scheme available to all buyers of new homes who may struggle to raise the necessary 25% deposit. Up to 20% of the property price is provided to the buyer through an equity loan, meaning the buyer needs to raise just an additional 5% deposit to meet lender criteria.

Sophie Schofield, sales and marketing manager of Enterprise Property Group, said: “Buying a home can be a daunting experience but the Government recognises this and there’s a great deal of support out there to help make the numbers stack up. Knowledge is power and we’re keen to ensure that buyers understand the options available to them and how they can access Government support to help them buy a home.”

The Help to Buy event will take place on Saturday 24th June from 10.30 – 3.00 at Holiday Inn Lakeview, Bridge Road, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9PH.
