The annual publication ranks UK law firms and solicitors based on the results of extensive research, including client feedback interviews.
The 2019 guide – published this week (October 29) – names Hewitsons as a ‘top-tier firm’ in 10 practice areas. These are Private Client (Agriculture & Estates; Charities & Not for Profit; Contentious Trusts & Probate; and Personal Tax, Trusts & Probate), Real Estate (Environment; Planning; Property Litigation; and Commercial Property), Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation) and Corporate and Commercial (Corporate and Commercial).
The leading law firm, which has offices in Cambridge, London, Milton Keynes and Northampton, also performed well in many other practice areas.
In addition, several Hewitsons solicitors have been recognised as ‘Leading Individuals’ within their respective specialisms, many having retained this elite status for several years running. Earlier this year, three of the firm’s Partners were also inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame when it launched in the UK.
At various points within the 2019 guide, the Legal 500 calls Hewitsons a “key regional player”, says the firm “inspires confidence in the quality and depth of its advice” and praises its “attention to detail” and “expeditious handling of matters”.
The results follow a period of particularly strong growth at the firm. Over the past 12 months, Hewitsons has achieved record revenues and profits, as well as many impressive legal successes, several prestigious contract wins and further accolades.
All this has enabled Hewitsons to continue investing heavily into everything from IT systems and infrastructure to people.
