In addition to retaining already strong positions in the directory across eight specialist practice areas in the 2017 guide, the firm secured improved rankings in three further specialisms. These were: Litigation (in East Anglia), which climbed from ‘Band 3’ to ‘Band 2’; Corporate/M&A (in the East Midlands), which went up from ‘Band 4’ to ‘Band 1’; and Corporate/M&A (in East Anglia), up from ‘Band 3’ to ‘Band 2’.
In total, the law firm received five top ‘Band 1’ rankings, for: Agriculture and Estates (in Northampton and surrounding areas); Corporate/M&A (in the East Midlands); Environment (in East Anglia); Intellectual Property (in East Anglia); and Private Client (in Northampton and surrounding areas). Additionally, the firm received seven ‘Band 2’ rankings and one ‘Band 3’ ranking, as well as being recognised in other specialist areas.
Furthermore, 23 lawyers at the firm – which opened in London last year following a merger in the capital from where it trades as Hewitson Moorhead – were ranked in the 2017 Chambers and Partners guide for their work across various specialist areas.

Law firm Hewitsons is delighted to announce top rankings in the 2017 UK Chambers and Partners legal directory, published earlier this month, in several areas of practice, as well as retaining strong positions across the board for each regional office.
