A central question in entrepreneurship is when and how do people recognise an opportunity that is worth pursuing? Should it be ideas that are evident in the market place based on alertness? Should it be about deep research that leads to ideas of how to disrupt markets? And when should we pursue them? Is it only when they offer watertight business cases or when they get us excited? In other words, what is the typical anatomy of an opportunity?
The new series of Enterprise Tuesday evening lectures and networking sessions, managed and delivered by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) at Cambridge Judge Business School, kick starts tonight (5th November) with a session aiming to answer these questions. Two illustrious speakers - Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, MA, PhD, FRS, FRCP, FmedSci, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge and Dr Hermann Hauser CBE FREng, serial entrepreneur and investor and co-founder Amadeus Capital Partners - will lead the discussion.
Dr Hermann Hauser CBE, FREng, has wide experience in developing and financing companies in the information technology sector. He commented about the Enterprise Tuesday programme, "Enterprise Tuesday has created a vibrant community of young people interested in high-technology companies."
The programme aims to introduce participants to the world of business and to encourage individuals to pursue their entrepreneurial ambition. The series is particularly relevant for those exploring the entrepreneurial opportunities and looking to build high quality networks with experts and practitioners.

The first session on 'Recognising Opportunities' is on 5th November at the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering, Trumpington Street, Cambridge.
