Professor David Cebon will explain the options for improving the efficiency of freight transport, in a free talk in Cambridge tomorrow evening (Weds June 4th).

Professor David Cebon will explain the options for improving the efficiency of freight transport in a free talk in Cambridge on Wednesday evening this week.

  • Can we make the vehicles more efficient?
  • Can we get more freight into each vehicle?
  • If trucks are bigger, will they run on British roads?

Professor Cebon leads a research group in the University of Cambridge concerned with the design and dynamics of heavy vehicle suspensions, road damage and the micromechanics of asphalt failure.  In a free talk, he will explain the options for moving freight more efficiently.

The talk will be in the Engineering Department, Trumpington Street, Cambridge, on Wednesday 4th June, from 19.00 to 21.00.  Refreshments served from 18.30.

The talk is organised by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.  It is open to the public and is suitable for engineers and students of all ages. 

Free to attend. Booking not required. All welcome.
