HSBC funds new Cambridge premises for Langham Press

A Cambridge-based printing business has acquired and relocated to a new premises after securing a £330,000 commercial mortgage from HSBC UK.

Formed in July 2012, Langham Press provides digital and lithographic printing services to customers including local businesses, charities, educational establishments, designers and publishers. The company also works with many departments within the University of Cambridge.

The move to a 9,000 sq ft site on Lion Works Business Park has enabled Langham Press to improve efficiencies and create a better environment for its staff, thanks to its size and open office layout.

"It has always been part of our business plan to buy our own premises as you're never quite in control when you rent," said Langham Press financial director Elizabeth Nolan.

"When the opportunity to purchase this new space arose, we immediately approached HSBC UK. The bank was hugely supportive from the outset and was happy to provide us with the commercial mortgage we needed to achieve our goal."

David Skipp, HSBC UK's area director for business banking in Cambridge, Essex and Suffolk, added: "Working with family businesses is really important to us and Langham Press is a company rooted in its local community, so we were delighted to be able to help it to purchase a new home."
