To have a raised high gloss image, you used to have to resort to Thermography, an expensive process that applied clear plastic powder to wet litho ink before heating up until it glossed over.

With digital work, Thermography is impossible as the image is never wet. However, the card shown above is a digital print with a really thick high gloss coating applied to the surface. In this picture the gloss is applied to the water drops, making it appear really wet!
