eScent is a wearable technology start-up associated with the Institute of Biotechnology, University of Cambridge. The idea behind eScent is to embed aromatherapy in clothing and release a personalised “scent bubble” at the right time, in the right place. It is designed to increase health and well-being.
(Image removed)“I am delighted to win this award for eScent, which acknowledges the use of essences that are biosynced to a person’s emotional, mental or physical state,” said Jenny. “The recognition will allow us to test aromatherapy claims in a variety of contexts in clinical trials, and go towards providing a scientific basis for determining the health and environmental safety of fragrances.”
Ignite is an intensive one-week training programme for aspiring entrepreneurs and corporate innovators to trial and prepare business ideas for the commercial environment.
The programme, part of the Entrepreneurship Centre at Cambridge Judge, is a blend of practical teaching sessions, expert clinics, mentor sessions and experienced advice and support from leading entrepreneurs.
