This year there are four categories:
KEC PROJECT OF THE YEAR: Supported by Research Councils UK
Nominate your team, or a team you think should be recognised for using an innovative approach to KEC on a particular project, which enabled (or will enable) the achievement of academic, economic, civic or societal impacts.
KEC PARTNER OF THE YEAR
Nominate a partner (e.g. a business, public sector or non-profit organisation) who has worked with a university to enable social or economic impact in conjunction with a KEC team.
KEC TEAM OF THE YEAR
This award recognises a team which has consistently excelled in delivering value, building relationships and/or overcome challenges.
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
Nominate a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to PraxisUnico/AURIL and the sector.
The Impact Awards were established by Unico (now PraxisUnico) in 2009 to recognise and celebrate the process of exchanging knowledge, expertise and intellectual assets beyond higher education institutions, charities and public sector research establishments for the wider benefit of the economy and society.
In 2015, PraxisUnico and Research Councils UK (RCUK) delivered a joint competition to raise awareness and celebrate the activities of successful Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation (KEC) Teams (or individuals) that make an essential contribution to delivering impact from excellent research and capabilities.
The Impact Awards for KEC Professionals 2017 continues to celebrate the achievements of KEC professionals and our volunteer community in delivering and developing best practice across the sector.
