Six of the seven individuals who began their two-year traineeships with the law firm in September 2015 have now been made Solicitors, having each passed their Professional Skills Course (PSC).
Charlotte Bull, Emma Bowman, Sarah Baron, Sardeep Gill, James Makin and Tobias Gleed-Owen are now based at the firm’s Cambridge office, working variously within its Corporate, Real Estate, Construction, Employment and Private Wealth teams.
Chambers & Partners has interviewed all six about their experience with Hewitsons so far. Partially as a result of their overwhelmingly positive feedback, the firm has received top rankings for its trainee experience.
During their time with Hewitsons, trainees learn an array of legal skills from the firm’s Partners, thorough both formal training sessions and practical experience. The trainees assist with cases, interviews and other matters, as well as attending court hearings, regularly liaising with clients, and accompanying Solicitors to site visits and legal briefings. Biannually, they each rotate between departments, allowing them to benefit from the firm’s wide-ranging expertise.
