Integra ICT appoints new UK sales manager

Integra ICT, an accredited ICT reseller from Sandy in Bedfordshire, has announced the appointment of Ian Whitehouse-Giles as its new UK Sales Manager. The new appointment demonstrates Integra’s commitment to its longstanding relationship with Siemens Enterprise Communications.

Ian's appointment comes at an integral time - public and private sector organisations are migrating from legacy PBX infrastructures to IP telephony, and telecoms vendors are investing heavily in hosted services and cloud communications to facilitate flexible working practices.

Integra ICT has longstanding relationships with all key telecoms vendors including Siemens Enterprise Communications, Cisco and Mitel. The company is also a Microsoft Gold partner.

In recognition of this, Integra ICT has recently been recognised by Siemens Enterprise Communications as an important “Go Forward”” channel partner to promote its next-generation unified communications (UC) product portfolio to mid-market organisations in the UK.

Ian has over 30 years experience in telecoms and IT industries and has worked with a wide range of organisations including business start-ups, SMEs and large corporates. He has extensive knowledge of IP communication solutions for VoIP and SIP using ITSP's, wholesale and retail minutes. He also has experience in unified communications and its associated collaboration tools as well as mobile/Smartphone services and applications.

Before joining Integra, Ian was employed as a consultant by Strident Computer Systems Ltd. He was the founder of IFWG Consultancy Ltd. and has also held senior positions at Smart IPX, KEConnect and Timico Ltd.

Siemens Enterprise Communications’ IP-based mid market product suite, which includes OpenScape Business and OpenScape Enterprise Express, is based on its proven UC platform deployed by 35% of large scale enterprises in the UK alone. It synchronises different communications channels (voice, video, text, chat, email, and social media) to provide users with a fully integrated communications solution.  It also facilitates “anywhere” working and “bring your own device” (BYOD) initiatives, both of which are widely offered by mid market companies.

Siemens Enterprise Communications’ mid market UC products can deliver cost savings of up to £199K to organisations with 200>1000 employees. They make use of existing equipment such as handsets or cards and avoid the need for “rip and replace” strategies and associated operational downtimes.

Says Ian Whitehouse-Giles of Integra ICT; “I am delighted to be joining such a successful company. Integra already has an established market base in East Anglia and I am looking forward to developing opportunities further a afield by championing unified communications to help achieve the company’s long term business objective to double its sales turnover over the next few years.”
