IT Governance to exhibit at Cyber Security Summit & Expo in London

IT Governance, the leading provider of cyber security solutions, is pleased to announce it will exhibit at the Cyber Security Summit & Expo in London this November.

The expo aims to provide industry professionals with up-to-date insights into cyber security issues and best-practice approaches to tackling cyber threats. The event brings together more than 2,000 senior-level business, security, technology and data professionals to offer guidance and solutions to best support organisations with their EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance projects and meeting their cyber security requirements.

This leading cyber security event will provide organisations with the latest updates in technology, data and network news. Discussions will be led by industry experts at the forefront of cyber security compliance and there will be plenty of networking opportunities.

The event includes a GDPR conference offering practical insight into the technical and operational changes that senior IT and data security professionals will have to implement. The agenda also offers a choice of more than 30 seminars, a ‘hackchat’ session that explores valuable lessons from leaders on real-life cyber threats, and a ‘cyber exchange’ hub for cyber security resources.

Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, said: “We’re pleased to be exhibiting at the Cyber Security Summit & Expo during such a pivotal time for organisations. The GDPR and Network Information Security (NIS) Directive impose requirements for organisations to apply a standardised approach to security measures to reduce the risk of cyber attacks.

“Despite an increase in staff awareness of cyber security, recent research shows that employees are one of the biggest threats to an organisation’s information and data assets. Decision makers and data protection officers are encouraged to implement relevant staff training to reduce risks and confidently deal with incidents, avoiding reputational and financial damage.”

The event takes place on 16 November at the Business Design Centre in London, near King’s Cross station. Tickets are available on the event registration page and attendees can speak to IT Governance’s GDPR and cyber security experts at stand C47.

To help organisations improve their cyber security through employee awareness and training, IT Governance offers a Security Awareness programme, customised to each organisation’s needs.
