IT Governance sponsors GDPR education guide

IT Governance, the preferred supplier of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), is to sponsor a brand-new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guide to be distributed to all UK secondary schools.

Distributed as part of secondary education magazine SecEd, this GDPR guide will support the education sector with this most pertinent topic. IT Governance who provide GDPR compliance solutions for the education sector, is also sponsoring the same guide that will be sent to UK primary schools in September as part of magazine Headteacher Update.

Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, said: “We’re delighted to have the chance to sponsor such an important publication for the education sector, one that will provide the support and solutions many schools need. The GDPR deadline may have passed but it is not too late to start your compliance journey.”

Pete Henshaw, editor of SecEd, said: “"We know from our day-to-day work with teachers and school leaders that GDPR is and continues to be a key challenge for schools. Partnering With IT Governance, this guide will give school leaders the key information necessary to help navigate the new data protection legislation successfully. We were delighted to be able to work with the experts from IT Governance in putting this guide together and are proud to offer it as a free download to SecEd's readers across the country to help shine a light on issues and guidance to over come them."

IT Governance provides a wealth of services to the education sector, including its DPO as a service for schools (GDPR) and sector specific training.
