It’s a Zing Thing - Cambridge company's Christmas alternative to Apple iWatch hits the shop

Cambridge-based MvBii (pron. Moo-Bee) Ventures Limited is celebrating the first sales of its new fashion wearable technology – Zing. On the 23rd September the Zing goes ‘Live’ on Amazon to capture the Christmas market. At the same time you’re invited to a launch party at the Junction Theatre, Cambridge to see the Zing in action.

 

What is Zing?
Zing combines the best features of a top line smart watch and offers more fun and interaction than a standard fitness tracker in an affordable price bracket of around £50.

The product comes with a free connected app and has features chosen to appeal to a wide range of users.

  • With Zing you can simply visualise your activity over time, and use it to track and share your day with our unique Zing diary.  The most notable thing from user testing shows how people start to become more mindful of being active without really making a conscious effort to do so. 
  • Zing allows you to play and shuffle your music with just a flick of the wrist and the phone stays in your bag or pocket - it is so incredibly easy.
  • Take killer group selfies using it as a remote selfie control and put them in the diary or share them on other social media apps.  
  • Zing-ER messaging offers the chance to build closed and private friendship groups and send animated messages and even virtual kisses by just blowing onto the Zing.
  • The on-board games can be used to pass the time or even resolve arguments by the flip of a virtual coin. 
  • It can be worn on the wrist, as a pendant or in your pocket in the form of a pebble.
