Join the audience for Election 2015 debate on Radio Cambridgeshire

Is the NHS in urgent need of resuscitation? Dotty McLeod, Breakfast presenter for BBC Cambridgeshire, is hosting a live event on Wednesday April 22nd to debate this question with a panel of local politicians. You are welcome to join the audience (pre-registration needed).

It's used by all of us and perhaps taken for granted: a 24/7 service that needs a 21st century overhaul. The NHS is a key issue for voters at this year's General Election. And here in Cambridgeshire, the debate has intensified amid some damaging headlines: A&E waiting times among the worst in the country....the nation's first privately-run hospital declared a failure. And with a growing and rapidly-ageing population, is the NHS itself in urgent need of resuscitation? It's a question BBC Radio Cambridgeshire will be putting to its five political panellists, one of whom is a paediatrician; another, a former nurse.

Radio Cambridgeshire is looking for audience members to join them for this 'Question Time' event on Wednesday April 22nd (6:00 - 7.30pm at the Oak Tree Centre, Huntingdon PE29 7HN)

The panellists for this debate will be:

  • Chamali Fernando (Con - Cambridge)
  • Nik Johnson (Labour – Hunts)
  • Sebastian Kindersley (Lib Dem – S Cambs)
  • Marion Mason (UKIP – S Cambs)
  • Rupert Read (Green - Cambridge)

If you are interested in attending, please email Lizzy Dickinson ([email protected]) or call 01223 304700 to pre-register.

The event will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Cambridgeshire Breakfast.
