Join CambridgePPF for guided walk, AGM and architectural talk

Join Cambridge Past Present & Future (CambridgePPF) next Wednesday (15th October) for an informative evening at Michaelhouse Café on Trinity Street in Cambridge. This year, the charity’s AGM will begin at 5:30pm with a guided walk around the city centre kindly led by Conservation Officers from Cambridge City Council.

At 6:45pm, the group will return to Michaelhouse Café, St Michael’s Church where the charity’s management team will give an update on its work, which focuses on:

  • Managing local green spaces and historic buildings
  • Delivering an award winning environmental education programme
  • Seeking to influence the creation of new planning developments and communities in and around the city so that they are of the highest possible quality.

After the AGM, from 7:15pm to 8.00pm, there will be refreshments and drinks followed by a talk from Simon Bradley, joint editor of the Pevsner Architectural Guides – the renowned range of 46 books that were written by art historian Sir Nikolaus Pevsner and published between 1951 and 1974. Simon will talk about revising Pevsner’s ‘Cambridgeshire’ and some of the historic architectural gems that exist in and around the city.

Please note that places on the guided walk are limited so it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment. Everyone is welcome at the event, including non-members of the charity, who want to find out more about the organisation’s work.
