Established nearly four years ago by Managing Director Hayley Williams, Keystone Marketing provides plug-in marketing services to a variety of businesses both within St Neots and across the country.  Hayley and the Keystone team have always been passionate about supporting their local community and the charities in the area, with their Charity of the Year for 2016 being the Cambridgeshire based charity for Homelessness, Winter Comfort.

Action Duchenne, initially called Parent Project UK, was set up in 2001 by Nick Catlin and Dr Janet Hoskin, when their son Saul was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  The charity was the first organisation in the UK dedicated exclusively to Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy and, with the help and support of friends and supporters and other Duchenne families, developed into a national organisation.  Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (‘Duchenne’ or ‘DMD’) is the most common form of muscle weakness, affecting mostly boys with around 2500 individuals in the UK diagnosed with the condition each year. Duchenne is just one form of muscular dystrophy but is regarded as the most damaging, with fatally most sufferers dying before the age of 30.

Commenting on the new charity partnership, Keystone Managing Director Hayley Williams said: “Raising awareness and increasing engagement for organisations is the heart of what we focus on at Keystone Marketing, To offer our skillset to do the very same thing for charitable causes pro bono, with a focus on fundraising too, is something that the whole Keystone team is very proud of.”

Keystone will be working closely with local St Neots resident and Marketing & Fundraising Officer for Action Duchenne, Lynnette Ellison throughout the year to develop a series of communications and fundraising activities driven by the Keystone team.

Speaking about the new partnership with Keystone Marketing, Lynnette said: “I am extremely excited and grateful to Hayley and the Keystone team and look forward to working with them to help advocate Action Duchenne in St Neots and the surrounding area. Our son Samson (now 5) was diagnosed with Duchenne in 2015 and support for Action Duchenne is crucial for us to find a cure and treatment for this life-changing condition.”

To introduce Action Duchenne as their charity of the year, Keystone Marketing has invited the charity to exhibit with them at the St Neots Business showcase on 9th June.  Local St Neots residents and businesses can meet the team from Keystone alongside Lynnette from Action Duchenne on the day between the hours of 10:30am -2:30pm in St Neots Market Square.
