La Dante celebrates 5th anniversary

La Dante this week celebrated its 5th anniversary at the Old Kitchen, Trinity College.

La Dante writes: "We started in 2008 with a small room in Norfolk Street, sharing the premises with a French organisation and moved on within two years in Hills Road.In April 2012 we moved to The Lodge in Hawthorn Way in the Chesterton area and the lovely new premises with the garden, the light and the Italian feel are just a little Italy in the heart of Cambridge. Now, five years have passed and we celebrated this first step with a special event.

"On Monday 30th Sept we spent a lovely night at Trinity College with our guests and friends. The intimate atmosphere was warmed by Fiona Mackay's stunning voice. She delighted the audience with some arias from Bellini and Mozart.

"It was a great pleasure that the Cambridge Mayor, Paul Sanders, was there to support our cultural centre.Thank you to all our friends for being so close to us, we hope to meet you again at our cultural events."
