The UK Device Developers' Conference will bring together some of the world's leading experts in this field, to share their knowledge and experience. The conference will include a vendor exhibition, several half-day technical workshops and a schedule of informative technical presentations. It is free to attend for engineers, computer scientists, project managers and students in this field, although there will be a small charge for workshops.
“We are very pleased with the industry reaction to this new event,” said Richard Blackburn, Event Organiser. “This event is attracting senior engineers and developers from major technology companies, as well as academics, engineering students and people involved in technology start-ups. It is shaping up to be a great forum for the exchange of knowledge in this field.”
Companies exhibiting and sponsoring this year's event include German debug tool company Lauterbach, UK computer board manufacturer Blue Chip Technology, US based realtime operating system company Wind River and safety critical software specialists Phaedrus Systems. Topics covered will include the integration of touchscreen technology, the writing of device drivers, how to best exploit smart-phone technology and a guide to the very latest debugging technologies.
“Some workshops at the event have proven so popular that they have been oversubscribed,” said Richard Blackburn, Event Organiser. “However, a few places remain on some workshops and we still have a bit more space for delegates who wish to attend the conference and exhibition.”
The half-day workshops at the event will include ‘An Introduction to Advanced Debugging Techniques’, ‘An Introduction to Device Driver Development’ and ‘Getting to Grips with the MISRA C:2012 Standard’.
Free presentation titles include ‘Managing The Commercial Use of Linux’, ‘Choosing The Right Debug Tools’ and ‘Developing Portable Code for Embedded Systems’.
