Don't miss your chance to enter the Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards.

The awards celebrate the hard work and innovation of SMEs, and the people who work for them, throughout Cambridgeshire.

And many of the winners will go on to compete in the National SME Business Awards.

It is free to enter online at cambridgeshireawards.co.uk – but you only have until 3pm on Tuesday 7 December 2021.

This year the headline sponsor is Cambridge law firm Barr Ellison, which is sponsoring a new category – Property Industry Business of the Year.

The award is designed to recognise a business providing an outstanding service for customers and the community in what is such an important sector for the county. From estate agents to surveyors, property developers to architects, suppliers to construction companies, the award covers the lifespan of property, from concept to construction to sale, across residential and commercial sectors alike. Our judging panel wants to hear what makes a property business stand out from the competition.

There are also awards for Business of the Year – split into categories for those with fewer than 50 employees and those with between 50 and 250. Community Business of the Year offers a chance to show how your organisation is helping those around it, and is open to not-for-profit organisations too.

The Employer of the Year category will reward a company or organisation that goes the extra mile to look after those who work for it, while other awards include High Growth Business of the Year and Family Business of the Year. There is a category covering sustainability – the Green Award – while others celebrate innovation, service excellence and new businesses.

There are categories for individuals too such as Business Person of the Year and Lockdown Leader, plus many more.

Editor Paul Brackley said: “We always enjoy seeing the nominations to these awards, which showcase the vibrancy, energy, passion and ingenuity that characterises so many SMEs across the county.

“SMEs really are the lifeblood of the economy and we want to help celebrate their work. Winning an award is not just a pat on the back for hard work, but also a very positive sign to your customers and partners. Don’t miss your chance to enter.

"As ever, we are grateful to our sponsors, without whom we could not host these awards.”

For the full list of categories, and details on how to enter, simply go to cambridgeshireawards.co.uk – but do not forget, the clock is ticking. Nominees will be invited to attend a black tie awards ceremony at IWM Duxford on Thursday 17 February, 2022.
