This marks the second year a leading agency in the region has agreed to support the Cambridge ROAR by driving awareness through social media. Last year, Mobas ran the social media campaign with impressive results.
Based at Quy Mill Hotel, the Cambridge ROAR hosts a variety of fun, glamourous and glitzy events, from comedy nights to fashion shows, to raise much-needed funds for local charities, including Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Cambridge United Community Trust. The Festival, the only one of its kind in the region, is run and staffed by volunteers and 100% of profits go to the charities nominated to receive the funds each year.
Year-on-year, since its inaugural year in 2014, the ROAR has grown and become bigger and bolder with more events and more funds raised. Last year was the best year yet, which Founder and Chairman, Tony Murdock believes was helped by the social media aspects being managed by professionals in the field.
He said, “Having experts such as Media Managers support the ROAR’s social media delivery is enormously helpful to the ROAR’s success and its basic remit, which is to support local charities and give everyone who comes along to the events a fantastic experience. It also frees up our time to focus on the actual delivery of the Festival, which is a massive help particularly during the hectic events period.
“We are also immensely grateful to Mobas for the work they did for ROAR 16 and we are delighted that Media Managers have agreed to pick up the mantle for ROAR 17.”

The Cambridge ROAR, the only Festival of its kind in the region, exists to support charities that help local people and to date has raised almost £60,000. The Festival offers a series of fun events, from comedy nights to glitzy balls, all the while raising much-needed funds for the charities it supports. 100% of the profits from these events go to charity.In addition to the fun community events, which are all held at Quy Mill Hotel, the ROAR also creates opportunities for businesses to network, entertain clients and reward staff.
