Learning Technologies Awards signal new era for International Workplace

International Workplace celebrated success at the Learning Technologies Awards 2018 as a finalist in the category for ‘Best international learning platform implementation’. Over 800 peers attended the most prestigious event in the digital learning calendar to see the learning solutions provider make it through to the final stages of the competition, providing an exceptional way to kick-start its 24th year in business.

The International Workplace team was recognised for its partnership with ADVETI – the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education Training Institute – helping it turn a loss-making classroom course programme into a profitable and commercially sustainable digital service, extending reach, cutting cost and enhancing security and reliability.

The basis of its success stems from International Workplace’s Enterprise Services Platform (ESP) – its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution that facilitates secure access to eLearning content, monitors real-time learner progress, manages administration and billing processes, and helps clients create new revenue streams by unlocking the value in their content.

David Sharp, International Workplace’s MD, commented:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be a finalist at the Learning Technologies Awards for the fifth time now, this time in recognition of the work we have done in the UA in bringing a commercial course to market. We’ve created a solution that is highly beneficial to ADVETI, and will also benefit other clients who want an easy way to provide monitored content to their users. The team has worked fantastically hard to get to the awards tonight, and this is a real celebration of our success. We believe in the power of people – our own colleagues, and the people we work for – encapsulated in our strapline: It all starts with you.”

Siobhan Connolly, Curriculum specialist at ADVETI, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for this Learning Technologies Award, and I think in large part that is due to the fantastic working relationship we’ve had with International Workplace. The International Workplace team worked very hard with the ADVETI team here in Abu Dhabi. We’re very proud of the final project and know that this course will make immeasurable difference both to the regulator and to the people taking the course.”
