Local companies encouraged to join Czech trade mission

Regional businesses are being invited to explore the Czech Republic by trade organisations based in the East of England.

Enterprise Europe Network and UKTI are organising a visit to the Central European Exhibition Centre, Brno, Czech Republic to enable UK companies to participate in an international business – to – business matchmaking event, from 23 – 25 April.

Delegates will have the opportunity to visit an international trade fair, take part in pre – arranged business – to – business meetings, and attend a networking reception organised by Brno Chamber of Commerce.

The mission is being overseen by EEN European trade advisor, Mark Hofman, who said: “The Czech Republic is one of the UK’s largest European export markets, with sales of goods reaching £1.75 billion last year”.

“Every year this event draws around 800 delegates from the Czech Republic and beyond, we hope this visit will help local companies build their contacts in one of Central Europe’s most prosperous and highly developed economies.”

The delegation will travel to Brno Building Fair; an event of global importance covering practically all areas of the building industry – construction, building crafts and technologies, building materials and products, construction machinery, building construction – and building services engineering.

A Timber Construction Fair is also being held concurrently – with highlights including low energy buildings, housing, gardens, sanitation, heating and air – conditioning.

Participating companies will benefit from finding new business partners, clients and suppliers, an in-market briefing from UKTI in the Czech Republic, free use of translators, and the services of an experienced trade mission manager.

A grant may be available to eligible East of England companies, towards the cost of travel and accommodation.
