Almost 600 guests celebrated at the black tie event hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr in London.
The judges described Hill as “a good company consistently delivering high quality developments” and growing fast in recent years. They also named the company’s Woodside Square scheme in Muswell Hill with Hanover Housing Association as the ‘Best design for three storeys or fewer’.
The housebuilder, which is based in Essex and has an office based in Cambridge, recently announced the expansion of its Eastern region, which has now been split into three separate operating business units following unprecedented success in the Cambridge area. This has included the delivery of over 5,000 homes since the region’s conception.
During this time, Hill also established the Cambridge Investment Partnership, a joint venture between Hill and Cambridge City Council which will see the delivery of almost a thousand new private and affordable homes across the city over the next five years. Tom Hill, who last month was promoted to Regional Director of the Cambridge Investment Partnership division, will be leading on this partnership with Cambridge City Council.
Strengthening its presence in Cambridge further, the housebuilder secured a ten year funding deal worth £22.4 million this year from Homes England to develop 160 acres of brownfield land in Cambridge. The deal was agreed in partnership with Marshall Group Properties and will bring 1,300 new homes to the area. Hill is also currently working with the University of Cambridge to deliver 500 new homes at Athena in Eddington, an entirely new community being created on the city’s western fringe

These awards follow a strong year for the family-owned housebuilder, having achieved the much coveted and respected five-star status from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) in their annual customer satisfaction survey in March. Earlier this year Hill also secured a new £200 million five-year Revolving Credit Facility which will allow it to continue its exceptional growth.
