Local MPs back Growth Bid

MPs from across the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area joined together last week to discuss a bold new plan for economic growth.

The LEP recently submitted a Strategic Economic Plan to Government outlining the key projects that will help support the continued growth of the local area. The Plans form the basis by which the LEP will negotiate its Growth Deal with Government, and the level of funding it will receive in 2015/16 for economic growth related projects.

By going to Westminster we were able to discuss the detail of our Plan with our local MPs and gain their feedback on the projects that matter most to their local area.”

“We are pleased to have received such a positive response from our local MPs both at this meeting and in other discussions, and look forward to continuing to work with them to negotiate our Growth Deal.”
