Make a difference in Cambridge and gift your gear with Rohan this autumn

This September, Rohan ‘the outdoor & travel clothing specialist’ is calling for all people in Cambridge to donate any pre-loved outdoor clothing to help local community organisations, youth groups and charities working with young people in the outdoors.

Gift Your Gear, founded by Sarah Howcroft - one of the original founders of Rohan, is an award-winning nationwide initiative that encourages outdoor enthusiasts to donate re-usable gear they no longer want, or need, by bringing it to their local Rohan store, including Rohan Cambridge.

The initiative has been running since 2012 and ensures that Cambridge’s unwanted outdoor clothing and equipment is put to good use, by donating it to local organisations and youth groups. The donation period is taking place from now until the end of September and any items can be donated, regardless of the brand.

Jasmine Lees, Store Manager at Rohan Cambridge says “We really encourage the people of Cambridge to donate any unwanted outdoor gear they have – no matter how large or how small the donation, it all makes a real difference to the groups who receive it. All donations encourage getting the people of Cambridge to create life changing experiences in the great outdoors.”

Sarah Howcroft, Founder of Gift Your Gear, says “Most outdoor gear will last much longer than we need it to, and so its full potential is never realised. The outdoor gear donated will make real difference to the community organisations, youth groups and charities who receive it.”

As an added bonus, Rohan Cambridge is offering a 15% discount off any full price purchase made in store, at the time of a qualifying donation.
