The 2012-13 Cambridge International Piano Series season has featured some remarkable pianists who have riveted the audiences with their breathtakingly beautiful playing and thrilling programmes – re-introducing us to old favourites and introducing us to new and exciting pieces.
Artistic Director, Martin Roscoe, will bring the CIPS 2012-13 season to an end with a special recital on Wednesday 15 May (7.30 p.m.) at West Road Concert Hall (11 West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DP) when he will perform two of the most sublime Sonatas in the repertoire – which are also his personal favourites – together with lesser-known works by two other great composers:
HAYDN Sonata for Keyboard No.47 in B minor
BRAHMS Four Klavierstücke Op.119
BEETHOVEN Sonata for Piano No.21 in C Op.53 (‘Waldstein’)
SCHUBERT Sonata for Piano No.21 in B flat D.960
