The Master Composter programme is part of the partnerships’s strategy to reduce the burden of waste from the county, by teaching more people how to compost their own waste at home and reduce the amount of organic waste going down our plug holes.
The programme works by training up local volunteer ‘Master Composters’ who then go out into their local community, to events, community groups and schools to pass on their knowledge to others.
Garden Organic is now looking for enthusiastic local volunteers in Cambridge and March to get involved in the programme. Volunteer Master Composters will be fully trained, provided with ongoing support, and become part of a network of like-minded volunteers. Being a compost expert is not essential to become a volunteer - full training will be provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to spread the compost message in your local community and encourage more people to start composting at home.

Volunteer training will be taking place on Saturday 16th June and booking is essential.
