Medovate continues growth with significant office expansion

Exactly two years since launch, Medovate, the medical device development company, is excited to be moving into its next chapter of growth with a relocation that will increase its capacity dramatically.

A significant milestone for the company, Medovate will be moving from its 700 sq ft office in Milton Hall, expanding to new, state-of-the-art 6000 sq ft offices on Camboro Business Park in Girton, Cambridge. The expansion means as the business continues to grow it will be well-placed to accommodate additional staff, providing a boost to local employment.

The relocation is in line with Medovate’s ambitious growth as it begins the commercialisation phase and launch of its innovative medical devices across the UK, Europe and the United States. This will include SAFIRA (Safer Injection for Regional Anaesthesia), a revolutionary new technology to help prevent nerve damage during regional anaesthesia procedures, followed by Humidicare, a novel safety Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) to help prevent critical airway obstruction in intubated patients requiring ventilation.

Medovate’s new base will have the space needed to accommodate the growing team working on an exciting development pipeline of products and activities and will also include a training and development hub to support both commercial partners and distributors.

Commenting on the move, Managing Director, Stuart Thomson said: “This office relocation is the culmination of a great year for us; 2019 has seen the business go from strength to strength, with senior hires and receipt of an award naming us East of England’s most innovative medical device development company.

"As we approach 2020 there is more exciting news to come as we bring our innovative anaesthesia and critical care solutions to market. The new office will enable us to live up to our ambitious plans, providing increased levels of service for our customers, as well as giving room for further expansion as the organisation continues to grow.”
